HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Some much-needed rainfall should be moving over the islands as trade wind showers are enhanced by an upper level disturbance. Most of the showers will be for the usual windward and mauka areas. Drier conditions are expected Tuesday into Wednesday.

In surf, a south swell will peak Sunday with some six-foot sets possible. West shores will get some of that swell energy with 3 to 5 footers. A small northwest swell is expected to bring some fun waves in the 2 to 4 foot range for north shores, while east shores will also have 2 to 4-footers from the trade wind swell.
