MINNEAPOLIS — The Guardians don’t have angels in the outfield, it only seems like it.

Whatever they need, they get. Whatever they don’t have, they find a way to work around it.

They’re still tied for the lowest team batting average in the big leagues, but it just doesn’t matter.

After hitting five home runs to beat the Twins in the first game of a day-night doubleheader on Saturday, they scored six runs in the fifth inning of the nightcap on the way to a 8-0 win that brought them to within one game of the first-place Tigers in the AL Central.
