Entering Auburn football’s SEC opener against Oklahoma, the storyline that stuck out throughout the week was the return of Jackson Arnold to Norman.
Arnold spent two seasons at Oklahoma before transferring to Auburn last December and was the Sooners’ starter for most of last season. On Saturday, he returned to Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on the opposite sideline, but his team came up short.
Auburn lost to Oklahoma 24-17 , and Arnold had a tough day, getting sacked 10 times.
After the game, Arnold was asked what it was like returning to his former home, and he had positive things to say despite the loss.
“I was with those guys with two years,” Arnold said. “Made some great friendships and obviously was with Peyton [Bowen] throughout high school. That’s one of my best f
