An 81-year-old woman was struck and killed while walking in a ShopRite parking lot in Mayfair on Saturday evening, police said.

The crash occurred at the ShopRite at the 6700 block of Frankford Avenue at around 6:35 p.m., police said.

The woman was struck by a 2012 Nissan Murano that was making a left turn into the parking lot, police said.

The woman was taken to the hospital, where she died from her injuries at 7:22 p.m., police said.

The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

The identity of the woman has not been released so family can be notified, police said.
