One hidden chemical in this tropical fruit could fight liver cancer
Researchers have found that one particular plant molecule in a popular tropical fruit could lead the fight against liver cancer. As a food item, guava can deliver a wide variety of health benefits to the human body.
Its high levels of vitamin C and potassium could significantly improve digestion and heart health. It can also support other systems throughout the body.
However, research by William Chain, associate professor at the University of Delaware, isolated a molecule, referenced as psiguadial A, in guava that he claims could help aid in treating cancer. Furthermore, scientists can replicate this molecule, which could result in it being used in future treatments.
