A man is dead and a suspect is in custody following a shooting at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua on Saturday night, authorities said. Several people were wounded.

The suspect was detained at the scene by Nashua Police, according to a news release from the state Attorney General's Office, and there was no remaining threat to the public.

Initial reports of multiple armed suspects at large were erroneous, the release said.

The Nashua Police Department initially reported that two armed suspects were at large after the shooting, which happened about 8 p.m. After detaining a suspect around 8:30 p.m., police reviewed surveillance footage and determined that only a single shooter was involved.
