THE DESIRE OF SOME to turn down the temperature of political rhetoric in New Hampshire following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk is much easier said than done.
House Majority Leader Jason Osborne , R-Auburn, cranked up the thermostat, announcing the “CHARLIE Act,” which he and Rep. Mike Belcher , R- Wakefield, say is intended to hold educators accountable for engaging in “left-wing indoctrination” in public schools and universities.
The bill would subject violators to fines or a loss of their license to teach.
“There was a time when America was unified against manifestations of the Left — communism, socialism, fascism, nazism, all the isms,” Osborne posted on X. “Today we allow anti-American Leftist ideology and pedagogy to run rampant through our instituti
