GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – Quarterback Cole Lambert was selected as a team captain for the Emory & Henry football team before the start of the 2025 season.

In Saturday’s South Atlantic Conference matchup at Tusculum, the former Abingdon High School standout earned more respect for his grit, leadership and winning ways.

On a hot day, Lambert passed for 168 yards and three scores as the E&H Wasps cruised to a 34-13 victory against the Tusculum Pioneers.

While senior quarterback Charles Mutter heals from an ankle injury, Lambert continues to perform.

“I’ve been in this program for a while and I have a good understanding of what we need to do,” Lambert said.

Mutter and Lambert often consult on the sidelines during games.
