EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Since Charlie Kirk was killed on September 10, vigils and memorials have popped up across the country, including here at home.

Saturday evening, Columbia County had a candlelight vigil of its own at Evans Towne Center Boulevard.

Many people of the area came together to honor Kirk.

“I think it’s amazing to see that this many people were influenced by Charlie in a positive way,” said Roger Anderson, local Turning Point USA chapter president.

Congressman Rick Allen highlighted what Kirk meant for the political scene.

Officials investigating death of 4-month-old in Aiken County
