NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - North Augusta is growing fast, and city leaders are taking a hands-on approach to keep up with the changes.
On Monday night, instead of meeting at the municipal building, members of the City Council and the Planning Commission boarded a trolley for a tour of ongoing and upcoming developments across.
Planning Commissioner Lisa Christie was among those on board.
“My family and I have ridden our downtown trolley many times in North Augusta,” she said. “But it was really nice just getting to see some commercial development, residential—kind of really get our eyes on where the townhouses are going, where’s the commercial going, and things like that.”
One of the biggest projects is The Hive, which will bring 668 new apartments and homes just off Exit 1.
