SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Angelo State Rams came into the season with high expectations, starting the year ranked 13th in the nation. Four weeks later, the Rams sit at 4-0 after closing out week two of Lone Star Conference play with a statement win on Saturday night.
Ranked 6th heading into the matchup, ASU once again took the field without starting quarterback Braeden Fuller. That meant backup Kaeden Smith got the call, and man, did he deliver. After a tough outing in last week’s rain-soaked game, where it felt like the Rams were playing on a waterbed, Smith bounced back in a big way Saturday night.
