An unlucky stray dog with 'so much love to give' is searching for forever home. Dogs Trust Kenilworth say that when Lucy Lou, the 10-year-old Akita, arrived she was in a 'terrible state' both physically and mentally.

The vets' team found that she had entropion on both eyes, meaning that her eyelids curled inwards, causing her discomfort and leading her to keep her eyes closed. Despite medical treatment and a pamper session to help with her tufted hair, Dogs Trust Kenilworth said that Lucy Lou struggled in kennels.

Staff said that the combination of a new environment and her limited vision meant she struggled to settle into her new surroundings.
