SALEM, Ore. — A crash involving two vehicles on Saturday night leaves four people dead and two others with serious injuries.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office responded to a wreck involving two vehicles on Cordon Road NE north of Sunnyside Road just before 8:00 p.m.

Investigators say the four people who died were inside the same vehicle along with the two others who were seriously injured. Their identities have not yet been released.

Those in the second vehicle involved were transported to the hospital for a medical evaluation and treatment. There is no word on their conditions or how many were hospitalized.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office CRASH Team is investigating what caused the crash.
