Changes may be coming to the city of Filer after November’s election.
The mayor and two City Council seats are up for election.
Mayor Bob Templeman, who has served four terms, will face 21-year-old candidate Karley Harrison.
In the City Council race, incumbent Samuel Callen is running for re-election, but Joe Durham is not. Durham’s departure opens up a seat for candidates Debbie Carpenter, Taylor Clark and Drew Olsen.
The Times-News asked the six candidates to answer four questions. Here are their responses, lightly edited for length and clarity:

Why did you decide to run for re-election?
There’s quite a few projects that I’d like to continue to work on. Our new city park, some streets and sidewalks that are a concern. We’ve got some projects that
