Celtic and Rangers have both paid tribute to former Liverpool women boss Matt Beard who tragically passed away aged 47.
The world of women's football was rocked today when it was suddenly announced that Beard, who had managed Burnley as recently as August this year, had passed away.
Beard was a renowned coach within the women's game and won two WSL titles in his first spell as Liverpool boss between 2012 and 2015.
He returned and spent another four years there from 2021 until February this year, later joining Burnley – who he left just two months later to pursue other opportunities.
Beard also managed Millwall, Chelsea , West Ham and Bristol City as well as Boston Breakers in the NWSL across his travelled 17-year managerial career.
