BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WV News) — Well over 200 boys and girls attended the 4th annual Girls in Aviation event at the Robert C. Byrd National Aerospace Education Center (NAEC) on the airfield at North Central West Virginia Airport Saturday.

There were plenty of learning activities for the children and plenty of industry professionals on hand to answer questions. There were 25 stations for kids and their parents to visit in both the NAEC and Fairmont State’s hangar next door.

Heidi Cogar works in Human Resources at Pratt Whitney at the airport. She was on hand with several other co-workers to explain their jobs and what it is like to work in the aviation industry.
