Most police departments simply have a food drive or ask for donations for their Annual Toys for Tots Program with the goal of providing needy children with a toy on Christmas Morning. However, the Kirbyville Police took a different road a few years ago when they come up with the idea of having a day of dirt and mud racing.

Each year the event has grown with young and old alike coming out for a thrill in the dirt and Saturday was a full day of event all beginning with a motorcycle ride and rally followed by food, fun and festivities at Magnolia Park which included a display of emergency vehicles and live country music on stage.

It was a full day of fun that did not wind down until late in the evening as the final matches were made in the mud pit as contestants came from as far away as Laf
