BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WBOY) — A local Dairy Queen has been closed until further notice following an "unexpected" electrical fire.
According to a Facebook post from the Bridgeport Dairy Queen location, both the fast food restaurant and Crunch Time Gourmet Popcorn and Apples next door, will be closed for the time being.
"A big thank you goes to the Bridgeport Fire Dept for their quick response and thorough investigation on the cause," the post said. "We will post as soon as we know what day we will be back open."
A 12 News reporter who went to the scene observed a wall above Crunch Time with minor exterior damage and what appears to be a burned electric equipment. Both locations have been taped off, along with the parking lot.
