Michigan’s football team is entering its bye week on a high note after downing Nebraska 30-27 Saturday to kick off Big Ten play.
The 21st-ranked Wolverines leaned on their run game and clamped down defensively in the second half to earn just their second road win the past two seasons. It wasn’t a flawless performance for Michigan, but it was enough to never trail and close out a Cornhuskers team that entered the day 3-0 with one of the best point differentials in the country.
Overall, the Wolverines earned an overall grade of 72.3 from Pro Football Focus, which is above the average mark of 64.0. They outgained Nebraska 391 yards to 351 and 196-98 in the second half.
