YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WOIO) - A student was shot after a Chardon High School football game Saturday evening.
According to Cardinal Mooney High School, there was a gunshot after the game at Stambaugh Stadium in Youngstown.
Cardinal Mooney was taking on Chardon High School in varsity football.
A Cardinal Mooney student was injured in the shooting and taken to the hospital. The student is in stable condition, Cardinal Mooney said.
No Chardon students were injured in the shooting, according to a release from Chardon High School Superintendent Michael Hanlon.
“The safety and security of our students and staff is a top priority in Chardon Schools,” he said.
