Nearly a week after a c ontroversial disqualification in the men's 1,500-meter semifinals, the former Oregon star and reigning U.S. champion kicked his way to a gold medal in the 5,000 Sunday, Sept. 21 during the final day of the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
