The San Francisco 49ers continue to get hit by the injury bug, as the team has revealed the status for both quarterback Brock Purdy and wide receiver Jauan Jennings.

It was already believed that Purdy was not going to make it into Week 3 due to his turf toe. Head coach Kyle Shanahan did indicate that Mac Jones was prepping to be the starter, though it did sound as if Purdy was being given a chance to play.
It appears the 49ers are instead choosing to be very careful with their franchise quarterback.
Sadly, Jennings has also been ruled out due to shoulder and ankle injuries. It was also believed that Jennings was set to make it into Week 3, but that will not be the case.
