EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A shots fired call lead to an arrest of Evansville man.

Evansville Police were called to the 1200 block of MacArthur Circle at 5:37 p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, a witness across the street told police two men were involved in the shots fired.

Officers detained 30-year-old Richard Brown and the other man, and found a gun and two shell casings.

The other suspect told police that Brown fired the gun.

Brown had been convicted of Domestic Battery in February 2024 and is not allowed to be in possession of a gun.

Brown was arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail, where he was charged with Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

He was also arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court.
