Sherrone Moore’s suspension is over, but he may not want to rush back. Michigan is on a long win streak with interim head coaches.
The Wolverines won at Nebraska on Saturday 30-27 for their eighth straight victory under an interim head coach. Biff Poggi was credited with the win, just as he was last week when Michigan dominated Central Michigan 63-3.
Moore was suspended by Michigan for his role in the program’s sign-stealing operation in 2023. In an unorthodox twist, he coached Michigan in its first two games this season — a win over New Mexico and a loss at Oklahoma — before beginning a two-game, week-long suspension. As a result, he was part of Michigan’s preparation for the Central Michigan game but not the Nebraska game.
