LANDOVER, Md. — While Commanders fans were still keeping their fingers crossed for a win against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, team owner Josh Harris already had a win in the bank that he hopes Commanders fans and Washingtonians can celebrate.

After a long-fought campaign to convince political leaders to fund a return back to RFK Stadium in D.C., including lobbying the U.S. Congress leaders, the move was finally official thanks to DC Council vote on Wednesday. The move to the team's so-called "spiritual home" was scheduled to take place in 2030.

The move to RFK was personal for Harris, the Commanders owner and Chevy Chase-native told WUSA9 Sports Anchor Chick Hernandez in an exclusive interview on Sunday while sitting along the turf of Northwest Stadium during a pregame warmup.
