Police are not looking for any suspects and say there is no risk to the public

Police are investigating after a man was injured in a shooting in southwest Calgary on Saturday.

Officers responded to the 300 block of Somerside Park S.W. at around 5:44 p.m. Saturday, CPS said.

The victim, an adult male, suffered a gunshot wound to the lower body described as non-life-threatening, according to police.

He was taken to hospital and is recovering.

Police are not looking for any suspects and say there is no risk to the public.

The investigation remains ongoing.
