Former Browns cornerbacks Hanford Dixon and Frank Minnifield pumped up Huntington Bank Field before the Browns' Week 3 matchup against the Packers.
Dixon and Minnifield each smashed Packers-themed guitars before kickoff as the Browns prepared to play Green Bay and celebrate 40 years of the Dawg Pound.
Dixon and Minnifield helped establish the tradition of the Dawg Pound in 1985. As a way to fire up the defensive line and get the defense going, Dixon told them to imagine the quarterback as a cat and them as a dog. To remind them of their responsibility, Dixon and Minnifield would bark at the defensive line. Soon enough, the fans followed suit, and the Dawg Pound was born.
