Thousands have descended upon State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona publicly mourn the death of conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk.
The Sept. 21 memorial is scheduled to have speeches from President Donald Trump, high ranking administration officials and other conservative figures.
Kirk was assassinated during a Turning Point USA event on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Sept. 10.
Kirk was a close political ally of Trump and became a fixture and a keynote speaker at many Turning Point Action events.
At a Turning Point political rally in December 2024, a month after winning the presidential election, Trump credited Kirk and Turning Point with his victory.
Trump told reporters that Kirk's memorial service on Sunday would be "a very tough day" as he boarded his plane en route to Glendale, Arizona.
Turning Point USA, which advocates for conservative politics on high school and college campuses, invited members of the public to don their "Sunday Best," specifically red, white or blue, for Kirk's memorial service at State Farm Stadium.
The memorial comes after more than a week of tributes and fallout, including dozens who were fired or suspended over comments they made about the conservative personality.
