BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football moved up five spots to No. 12 in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll after a 63-10 win over Illinois on Saturday night .
It was the program's seventh win over a top-10 opponent and only the second at Memorial Stadium since 1967.
The Hoosiers (4-0) have been nationally ranked for 17 straight weeks, going back to last season, and are looking to crack the top 10 in back-to-back seasons for the first time in team history.
They made the third highest jump in the coaches poll this week behind USC (six spots) and TCU (seven spots) — both teams that were previously unranked — while Illinois (3-1) dropped 15 spots in the rankings after suffering its most lopsided defeat in the Big Ten since a 63-0 loss to Iowa in 2018.
