NORMAN, Okla. — For the first time this fall, Auburn football is in the aftermath of defeat, unable to win its Week 4 contest against then-No. 12 Oklahoma on Saturday, Sept. 20, falling 24-17 to the Sooners in Jackson Arnold 's return to his former program.

Naturally, the Tigers' top-25 status has also disappeared.

Auburn wasn't ranked in the AP or USA TODAY Coaches polls on Sunday, Sept. 21, falling from No. 22 and No. 25 in those respective listings. It received votes in each, being the sixth team out in the Coaches Poll and the first team out in the AP. Oklahoma rose in both, up to No. 7 in the AP and No. 10 in the Coaches.
