DEFIANCE — A man died Saturday afternoon after his motorcycle was struck, according to the Defiance Police Department.

Police responded to a report at about 4:28 p.m. of a crash between motorcyclist Danny Andrew Beauprez, Jr., 64, of Defiance, and motorist Carol Lynn Dietrich, 81, of Napoleon.

Mr. Beauprez was traveling northbound on South Clinton Street on his Harley Davidson and Ms. Dietrich, driving a Cadillac, was traveling southbound. She was attempting a left turn onto West Second Street and entered the path of the motorcycle, according to the report.

Mr. Beauprez was transported to ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Ms. Dietrich was not injured, police said.
