One of the "primary targets" of an alleged Tamworth drug and firearms ring remains behind bars as police gather more evidence in their case.
Stephen Ross Hanshaw remains bail refused on 10 drug supply and firearms possession charges after he was arrested in a secret police sting in June.
Police claim Hanshaw was the top "target" of Strike Force Bogangate - a secret police operation spanning Tamworth, Gunnedah and Narrabri that has seen a dozen men and women charged.
Hanshaw's case returned to Tamworth Local Court but defence solicitor Paul Lewis said Hanshaw was "in custody" and not required.
He faces 10 charges but has not been required to enter pleas, and is staring down the barrel of 20 years behind bars if he's found guilty of supplying methylamphetamine on an ongoing basis.
