Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur addressed the team's orders to Lewis Hamilton at the end of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

At the end of the race, Hamilton was asked by his engineer to swap positions with Charles Leclerc, who had let the seven-time champion through earlier.

"Let Charles by, he's one and a half [seconds] behind you," race engineer Riccardo Adami said over the radio.

"This is the last lap. And behind [him] is [Isack] Hadjar [by] two seconds, Charles 1.5 behind, let him by."

Hamilton was on fresher medium tires at one point during the last lap of the race, leading Ferrari to ask Leclerc for a swap.

The long-time Ferrari driver complied and let Hamilton through. The team was hoping that Hamilton could overtake either Yuki Tsunoda or Liam Lawson ahead of them.
