WASHINGTON — On Sunday, officers with Montgomery County were called to the 5900 block of Montrose Road at 7:43 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man dead inside an apartment. It is unknown why officials were called to this apartment at this time.

This case is being investigated as a homicide. The victim was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for a full autopsy to determine the cause of his death.

Information about the victim's identity will be released once next of kin is notified.

There is no suspect information or arrests at this time.

This is an active investigation.
