Starting Monday, all Lion Electric school buses will be back on the road after undergoing through inspections and repairs. Some 1,200 Lion electric school buses were taken off the road after one caught fire last week and carriers were ordered not to put them back to protect the safety of both passengers and vehicles.

The Transportation Division English Montreal School Board wrote in a statement:

“Dear Parents and Guardians, We are pleased to inform you that, as of tomorrow, Monday, September 22nd, all LION electric buses have been repaired, inspected, and cleared for operation.
