LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Parts of eastern and southeastern Nebraska have been upgraded to a slight risk for severe storms Monday afternoon and evening.

As a result, a Weather Alert Day is in effect. Large hail and gusty winds are the main concerns, but an isolated tornado is possible.

Isolated severe storms are also possible farther north and west, but the main concern will be to the east.

Timing this all out, storms are possible by the mid to late afternoon, but the evening, late evening and overnight hours will see increasing chances.

Meanwhile with partly cloudy skies and winds out of the south, we are expecting to warm up into the low to mid 80s.
