With the Denver Broncos defense on the field nearly the entire first quarter, the Los Angeles Chargers offense began to find room to gain on their next drive despite starting well inside their own 20 yard line. Justin Herbert began to pick on the linebackers on their early second quarter drive for increasingly big gains.

Their rookie tight end was gashing both Alex Singleton and Justin Strnad on that drive. Jonah Elliss kept bringing the pressure early in this game and got pressure on Justin Herbert to force a third down, then a tip ball by Riley Moss went right into the hands of Brandon Jones to give the ball back to Denver.
