MILTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The old Milton Elementary School is given new life. Due to part of the building being in a flood zone, the school was relocated, and the old building transformed into a recreation center.

The city said the part of the building in the flood zone will only be used for storage, while the rest is open for basketball, birthday parties and theater.

Kathy Deobler created her theater group a few years ago, and is now holding practice and shows at the community center.

The city said they have rooms for rent and are selling old furniture to help with utility costs.
