MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCBD) -- A Moncks Corner man is facing over a dozen charges after he was arrested Sunday for a series of incidents on Folly Beach.

Justin Kyle Mack Wright, 32, allegedly carjacked a vehicle at gunpoint before fleeing from police, according to the City of Folly Beach.

During the pursuit, Wright struck a police cruiser, drove through the gate at Lighthouse Inlet, and shot at officers.

Some of his charges include attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, armed carjacking, possession of a firearm by a felon, and failure to stop for blue lights.

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office assisted Folly Beach Public Safety in arresting Wright.
