A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is in effect for North Texas, including Dallas and Fort Worth, until 10 p.m.

Thanks to northwest flow aloft and upper-level disturbances, showers and thunderstorms are possible across North Texas through tonight. The area is under a LEVEL 1 (MARGINAL RISK) to LEVEL 2 (SLIGHT RISK) for severe storms. The primary threats are damaging winds and large hail. Please stay weather aware!

Monday will feature very low rain chances (10%). It will be mostly sunny with highs climbing into the mid-90s.

A cold front arriving midweek will bring a round of showers and storms to the region, some of which could be severe. Cooler temperatures will follow, with highs back into the 80s by Wednesday.
