Belinda Mills has been in Molong for over 40 years and has lost count of the amount of times the town's hockey complex has been hit by floods.
The latest - the 2022 floods that devastated Molong and other parts of Cabonne - left an unimaginable trail of destruction.
Come February, 2026, though, all of that will change.
For the first time in decades, Molong hockey will have a new home, with a $1.8 million development near the Molong Showground marking a significant shift in the shire's sporting landscape.
The new development, expected to be completed in time for the start of the 2026 season, includes the installation of a synthetic turf field, new fencing, lighting and upgrades to the carpark and driveway of the Euchareena Road site.
