On Friday, Sept. 26 Glendale’s Texas Roadhouse will team up with local police to raise money for Special Olympics Arizona.
Police officers will help serve guests at the “Tip-A-Cop” event and collect donations. Money will be collected from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, at the restaurant, 6648 N. 95th Ave., Glendale.
After last year’s inaugural event raised $1,400, the restaurant set a new goal to raise $2,500 this year. The Glendale Police Department motor squad will be in front of the restaurant with their bikes for meet and greets and free coloring books.
Special Olympics is a global movement of people creating a new world of inclusion and community, where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability.
