BENTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — Keeping up with what children are downloading and playing on their devices has become increasingly difficult for parents, but the Benton County Sheriff’s Office is offering help.
The department is hosting three Parents Night Out events designed to educate families on the risks children face online.
“Our mission is to educate parents and guardians about the World Wide Web and what is out there at their children's fingertips when it comes to applications, gaming, and just the internet in general,” Lt. Shannon Jenkins with the sheriff’s office said.
Jenkins said parents often don’t realize how much their children know about technology.
