GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Hundreds of people gathered at the Washington Waterfront to mourn the death of the conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
In light of the death of Kirk, the people of Washington gathered Sunday night to commemorate his life with a vigil.
“I saw the video a few minutes later, and in that moment, I knew that Charlie was no longer with us,” Reagan Edge, Hyde County Turning Point USA president, told WITN.
Law enforcement at the vigil was placed along the plot of land, in the water, and on top of buildings.
Multiple speakers gave their messages about Kirk, including a couple of local representatives from Kirk’s Turning Point USA, and they spoke about what is next for them as members of his organization.
