BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Fans of spooky literature celebrated the king of horror on Sunday.
Columbia Street in Bangor was turned into a creepy carnival, terrifying guests with homages to King’s work.
Attendees were enthralled by all the spooky sights - including their fellow fans.
“It’s amazing. So many people already around. I’m one of many Pennywises I’ve already seen,” said Rebecca Blackington, one of the costumed guests in attendance.
“It’s just been really cool to get to know different people and to be able to dress up on a different day than Halloween, and to really celebrate Stephen King, it’s been incredible,” said Gwyn Esty-Kendall, another guest dressed as one of King’s characters.
