DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - In Duluth’s western neighborhoods, those intrigued by the city’s architecture were seen touring different historic properties.
“I grew up in a neighborhood that didn’t have any, and I had no idea that all these gems were out there, and I just want to spread the word that they’re there,” said Sandy Burgstahler.
Burgstahler is one of the board members of the Duluth Preservation Alliance (DPA), which has hosted annual property tours for about four decades.
“Our interest is in saving or preserving the old homes in Duluth and bringing awareness that they’re there,” said Burgstahler. “Some of them need to be repaired, and that will bring them back to their original beauty.”
