MAYFIELD – No injuries were reported last week as a small jet crashed into a house near the Mayfield-Graves County Airport, Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden said.

Hayden said in a GCSO Facebook post that several callers reported a possible plane crash at 3:49 p.m. Thursday in the area of KY 58 East at the Mayfield-Graves County Airport. Upon arrival, a jet airplane was found to have crashed into a residence in the 2100 block of KY 58, East of Mayfield, Hayden said.

Preliminary reports indicate that the aircraft had landed, and the pilot was unable to get the aircraft stopped at the end of the runway.
