LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A more unsettled pattern is returning for our week ahead as rounds of showers and storms are set to return at times.

We’re starting out mostly quiet this morning with only a few clouds passing by from time to time.

Sun and clouds will continue to mix at times through the afternoon and coupled with humidity will help to produce a few showers and storms.

Heavy rain and frequent lightning will be the biggest threat with any storms, but there will a chance for some gusty winds as well.

Temperatures will start off the week in the upper 80s to near 90 ahead of a weak front that is set to arrive by the latter half of the work week.
