STARK COUNTY, Ohio — A 45-year-old Alliance woman was killed Sunday evening when her SUV went off the road and overturned several times in Stark County, authorities said.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Alisha Broad was driving a Cadillac Escalade westbound on Beech Street NE near Oakhill Avenue NE in Washington Township at around 6:19 p.m. when she lost control.

The SUV struck a ditch, culvert and mailbox before overturning multiple times, troopers said. Broad, the only person in the vehicle, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said Broad was not wearing a seat belt. It is not yet known whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
