It’s more than just a fundraiser.

Cranbrook Institute of Science’s Women Rock Science being presented Oct. 8 not only raises funding for Cranbrook’s STEAM programming for schools across Michigan, but celebrates women such as Tuyen Duddles, who are leaders in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.

Duddles was presented with Women Rock Science’s Educator of the Year Award in 2021.

“It was amazing and very humbling to be recognized for what I’m passionate about,” said Duddles, who teaches science at Warren Consolidated Schools Middle School Math Science Technology Center.

Duddles was among the teachers across Macomb County who found ways to keep her students engaged and interested in science during the pandemic and while honored to receive the award credits
